Peer Support Group – for Carers Supporting Someone with Cancer

31 July 2025
16:00 - 17:00
Unit 153 Bedford Heights Manton Lane Bedford MK41 7PH

We understand that Cancer touches many lives, and caring for someone with Cancer can bring unique emotional and practical challenges. That’s why we are pleased to introduce a new monthly Peer Support Group specifically for Carers who are supporting someone with Cancer.

When:
Starting Thursday 26th June, 4pm – 5pm
Then on the last Thursday of each month

Where:
Carers in Bedfordshire Office
Pilgrim Centre, Bedford, MK41 7PZ

This friendly, informal group is a chance to take some time for yourself – whether that’s having a quiet cup of coffee and a biscuit or sharing experiences and support with others who truly understand.

The group is volunteer led by one of our Carers, with support from a Carers in Bedfordshire staff member and our Wellbeing Practitioner, who will attend the first few sessions to help guide conversation and offer additional support if needed.

We recognise that Carers may be at different stages of their loved one’s Cancer journey. If you feel this group isn’t quite right for you now, that’s perfectly okay – we offer a range of other support groups and local hubs, which you can explore on our website.
